National Day of Prayer

Today is what is called the National Day of Prayer. Not that we need a “special” day to pray for America, but it is significant when our nation designates one! I want to encourage everyone of us to take some time today for focused intercession. Pray for our local and national leaders, our schools, the media, and our military. Pray for a spirit of humility and repentance that will begin with the church and pour out over our entire country.

We have a special prayer service at River City today from 12 - 1PM. This is going to be an awesome time of worship and prayer focused on national concerns. If you can work it out over your lunch hour, please join us for this special time of prayer.

Nothing is impossible when God’s people commit to pray! I hope to see you there!

You are invited!

Easter is a huge celebration for the local church. On Easter, we celebrate the event that changed the world! I’d like to personally invite you to join us this Easter Weekend, April 4th and 5th, for, “The Last Word” a celebration of endless hope! "The Last Word" will be an exciting and artistic blend of music, reflection, and practical insights all designed to explore the life that is ours because of the resurrection of Christ!

Our Easter service times will be Saturday @ 5PM, and Sunday @ 8, 9:30, & 11:15 AM. (Breakfast tacos will be for sale before the 8 AM service!)

Saturday morning, April 4th, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM we will have our huge “Eggstravaganza” and Kite Flying event on our amphitheater hill! This will be a fun event for the whole family. Check out this link for more info.

I ran by the hill and recorded a video invite to let you know I’m serious! Check it out here. I’ve also attached a pdf invite for you to share with family and friends. Pass it on!

Thanks for listening and I look forward to seeing you this Easter Weekend!
