Compelled by Real Faith!

I’m in Indiana this morning for some meetings with the General Oversight Council of our fellowship of churches, the Missionary Church. It’s raining here, just like it was when I left San Antonio on Wednesday afternoon! But, I’m not sure they appreciate the rain as much as we do. Scarcity seems to give you a deeper appreciation for things.

Real faith is kind of like that. It is an all too rare and beautiful thing to behold! This weekend, I’ll share about the powerful impact that real faith has on those around us! In a world that doesn’t believe, real faith stands out. It is inspiring and life transforming. You don’t want to miss this weekend!

Please join me in praying for a move of God’s Spirit as we gather together this weekend.

National Day of Prayer

Today is what is called the National Day of Prayer. Not that we need a “special” day to pray for America, but it is significant when our nation designates one! I want to encourage everyone of us to take some time today for focused intercession. Pray for our local and national leaders, our schools, the media, and our military. Pray for a spirit of humility and repentance that will begin with the church and pour out over our entire country.

We have a special prayer service at River City today from 12 - 1PM. This is going to be an awesome time of worship and prayer focused on national concerns. If you can work it out over your lunch hour, please join us for this special time of prayer.

Nothing is impossible when God’s people commit to pray! I hope to see you there!

For the One Hope,
